From the airports in Tenerife to Puerto de la Cruz
The northern holiday destination, in the Orotava Valley, at the foot of Mount Teide.
Puerto de la Cruz is the main tourist destination in the north and has direct bus from the North airport with the line 30, in just under half an hour. It’s one of the most convenient connections on the island.
Things are different from the South Airport: the only direct route is the 343, which crosses the entire island and takes around two hours. If your flight arrives in the south and you’re staying in Puerto de la Cruz, factor this journey into your plans — and check the time of the last service before assuming you’ll make it.

If the bus isn’t any use to you
If the bus doesn’t suit your timetable, the other options from the terminal are the taxi —picked up at the arrivals hall, without a booking, charged by the meter—, a private transfer at a fixed price, or a car hire, which, on an island the size of Tenerife, makes quite a difference to the journey.
