What’s inside the terminals?
Both airports offer the standard services provided by the Aena network, and it is worth noting that are not identical: The southern terminal, which handles international traffic, has a wider range of shops; the northern terminal is better suited to inter-island traffic, which is fast-paced and frequent.
- VIP lounges and priority access. Aena offers a VIP lounge and fast-track security services. At an airport with the seasonal fluctuations typical of the south, priority access is particularly useful during peak season.
- Service Sin Barreras. Assistance for people with reduced mobility is free of charge and it is a right recognised under European legislation. You must apply for it to the airline, at least 48 hours in advance.
- Shops and restaurants. A special feature of the Canary Islands: the Canary Islands have their own tax system and the IGIC replaces VAT, so prices and tax refunds do not work in the same way as on the mainland.
- Free wifi. The Aena network is the same across its entire network of airports: you verify your account via email the first time, and after that there is no time limit.
- Lost property and information points. If you lost it on the plane, you should contact the airline, not the airport.
